January 30, 2015Tickets are still available for the annual Groundhog Day Dinner & Auction. This year’s Mardi Gras themed party is Saturday, January 31st from 5:30 to 11:00 p.m. at Donley’s Banquet Hall in Union. Tickets, which include dinner, are $55 and there will be a cash bar. January 16, 2015District 200 welcomes volunteers to read to Pre-K through middle school students during its 24th annual Love to Read Week. The dates for this year’s program are Tuesday, February 17th through Friday, February 20th, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. The purpose of the program is to show students the importance of reading as a lifelong skill by having adults share how they enjoy and use reading in their daily lives.
January 15, 2015This year the Illinois 5Essentials Survey will be administered to students in grades 6-12. The survey is designed by the University of Chicago and is being used by the Illinois State Board of Education as part of the state’s school accountability process. The survey gathers information about the school’s learning environment from the perspective of the teacher and student.
January 12, 2015We are happy to announce that the SHAPE Woodstock workshop with Paul Zientarski has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 9th. Inclement weather on January 8th forced the cancellation of our original program, and we are grateful that Mr. Zientarski is able to reschedule with us for April. Zientarski is the founder of the Learning Readiness Program for Naperville School District 203. He will discuss how he and other educators have made a difference in the lives of students through exercise.
December 15, 2014The 2014 Challenge Corps Championship Tournament will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive, Building J, Elgin, Illinois. Judging will begin at 8:00 a.m., with the opening cermonies taking place at noon. Performances run all afternoon, wich closing ceremonies taking place at approximately 6:00 p.m.

As winter approaches (bringing with it winter driving conditions), the Transportation Department would like to remind all D200 families of some important safety guidelines.
November 17, 2014When your child is absent, please call the attendance line at 815-337-8618 before 8:30 a.m. on the day of the absence. You will need to report all symptoms your child is experiencing, including the degree of the fever. If we have not received an attendance call regarding your child by third period, you will receive the automated call stating your child is unexcused and the message will ask you to call the attendance line to report the absence. The office will not be able to request homework from teachers until your child has been absent for three consecutive days.
